2023 Scholarships and Bursaries

Every year we offer scholarships and bursaries to students living with epilepsy and are pursuing post secondary education.
We upload the new scholarship applications at the end of February with the criteria and we accept them until May 31st.

$1000 Di Setchell Memorial Bursary

Open to all full-time students who live with epilepsy in the Maritimes and is awarded based on financial need. Preference will be given to students pursuing a community college education.

$1000 James Russell Kline Memorial Bursary

Open to all students who live with epilepsy in the Maritimes and is awarded based on financial need.

$1000 EAM Memorial Scholarship

Open to all students who live with epilepsy in the Maritime Provinces and have an average of 80 or above.

Abigail Hache

Abigail Haché

Abigail has been awarded the EAM Memorial Scholarship for $1000. From Cheticamp, NS, she is majoring in biology at STFX University. Her future plans are to open her own dental clinic that will help those who have difficulties receiving dental care. Best wishes, Abigail as you work to reach your goals.

Joseph Rapp

Joseph Rapp

Joseph has received the James Russell Kline Memorial Bursary for 1000$. From Hawkesbury, NS, Joseph is studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration at I’Université Sainte-Anne. He plans to attend law school in the future and hopes to pursue a career in environmental law. Good luck to you Joseph!

Chantel has received the Di Setchell Memorial Bursary for 1000$. From Dartmouth, NS, Chantel is taking the Child and Youth Care program at NSCC. She wants to “Support children and youth to have a successful path to adulthood”. Good luck with your future plans, Chantel!

Claire is the recipient of the second Di Setchell Memorial Bursary for $1000. From Bedford, NS, she is attending the Business Admiration program at NSCC. Claire hopes to work in health administration at the IWK. All the best, Claire, as you work towards your goals!

From Moncton, NB, Meaghan is attending Kingswood University in Sussex, NB, where she’s majoring in Evangelism and Social Justice. In two years, she plans to switch to Youth and Family Ministry and hopes to become a youth pastor. Best wishes, Meaghan, as you to work to reach your goal.

Rachael is the winner of the J. Russell Kline Memorial Bursary for $750. From Amherst, NS, she is studying psychology in the BA program at St. Stephen’s University.
