Purple Day

Purple Day is March 26th, the international day for epilepsy awareness.

Every year, on March 26, people from around the world wear purple to show their support for those with epilepsy and raise awareness about the condition.  On March 26, 2018 we will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary.  What will  you be doing for Purple Day?

Motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy, Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia created the idea of Purple Day for Epilepsy in 2008. Since then, Purple Day has grown to be an international event. In June of 2012, the Purple Day Act was passed declaring March 26th to be officially “Purple Day.”  Canada is the only country to have Purple Day decreed as law.
